How Safe Mode for Trckmag works

Your TRCKMAG transmits location and motion alerts to the app via cellular technology. The same technology your cell phone relies on. The same way your call drops when entering an elevator is the same reason your TRCKMAG will not work will inside a fully metallic enclosure such as a gun safe.

HOW DOES SAFE MODE WORK?

Because of this, the TRCKMAG team developed "Safe Mode". This mode tells the portal to ignore any information coming from the device while in your safe. Instead of constantly trying to transmit, the device will enter a low reporting mode and save months of battery life! 

Since GPS technology works best when it has line of sight to the sky, the GPS technology portion of the TRCKMAG is set to low transition mode to help conserve battery life. This also prevents inaccurate readings due to poor satellite signal.
