How Geofences Work
WHAT IS A GEOFENCE?
Geofences are a special type of virtual fence, created by our system to notify you when your TRCKMAG goes beyond a certain location.
You can easily set alerts from the app to instantly be notified when the devices leave these geofences.
HOW IT WORKS
Geofences are an intangible feature, the devices don’t know if they are in or out of a geofence; the portal looks at all devices, parses their location data, and identifies any devices that are not within the geofence. If a device leaves a geofence, the equipment will begin reporting every 5 minutes and send you a notification so you are aware your TRCKMAG is no longer inside the set area.
